Meet Whitney – face painter extraordinaire!

I don’t normally speak in the first person, but sometimes this website can feel a little impersonal. So hello world! My name is Whitney, and I am the proud owner of Colorful Creations.

I got my degree in Interior Design at the NY School of Interior Design (class of 2004!) and over the course of my time there, realized what I really loved about design is how much my clients loved it. I still practice design now and again, but after moving back home to Fairfield in 2007 I started a side-business. (Freelancing can be a tricky thing.) I had already done some face painting over the summers in high school and college, so I figured I’d give it a try.

Well, right when the economy crashed, so did interior design. But, I’m happy to report, people kept throwing awesome birthday parties! I’m not sure if it’s because we were looking for things to celebrate or still want to show our children how much we love them, but my solo face painting venture blossomed.

So, 8 years later, Colorful Creations is now an awesome team of artists. We have face painters, balloon twisters and temporary tattoo artists (and I still sometimes go out to parties myself!) as well as coordinate entertainment with other top-notch companies. (We’ve thoroughly tested them so you know you’re always getting the best.) When you’re looking for birthday party entertainment ideas, we’re Southern CT’s go-to! Even if we don’t offer it, I know plenty of other amazing entertainers who we can make sure make your party perfect.

While I’m not busy working in our shabby-chic office, I love hosting dinner parties at my condo (still in Fairfield!), hiking with my two labs (did you know Fairfield County beaches are open to all animals during the winter?), and am currently learning to bake.

My goal is always to provide the best service ever. I know how busy working moms are and how important our children are to us. My promise is always to go above and beyond in how we help you with your party, as well as provide top-notch party entertainment talent ideas.

Just like an interior designer can do everything from concept the execution, that’s the philosophy of my business. With or concierge services and inner-industry knowledge, we will help your party be amazing without taking up your time.
